A homeowner in University City, Missouri, had settlement affecting the bottom half of their concrete driveway. The slabs had sunk below their original position, creating uneven transitions and reducing support near the lower portion of the driveway.

The homeowner needed the affected concrete raised and supported without the expense and disruption of removing and replacing the existing slabs.
When the STL Polyjack team inspected the area, we found:
Because the slabs remained in usable condition, polyurethane concrete lifting offered a practical alternative to complete replacement.
We used our polyurethane concrete lifting process to raise and support the affected driveway and sidewalk sections.
Small holes measuring approximately 5/8 inch were carefully drilled through the affected slabs. These access points allowed us to reach the empty spaces beneath the settled concrete.
High-density polyurethane foam was injected beneath the driveway and sidewalk. As the material expanded, it filled underground voids, restored support, and carefully lifted the settled slabs.
The bottom half of the driveway was raised toward its original position as closely as existing conditions allowed. We also lifted and supported the three sidewalk sections adjacent to the driveway to improve their alignment.
After the concrete was lifted and stabilized, the small access holes were patched and the work area was cleaned. The foam cured quickly, allowing the homeowner to use the repaired areas with minimal downtime.
