Because the affected concrete remained in repairable condition, polyurethane concrete lifting offered a practical alternative to removing and replacing the driveway.
We used our polyurethane concrete lifting process to raise, support, and improve the pitch of the affected driveway section.
Small access holes measuring approximately 5/8 inch were carefully drilled through the settled concrete. These holes allowed us to reach the unsupported spaces beneath the driveway.
High-density polyurethane foam was injected beneath the affected section. As the foam expanded, it filled hidden voids, restored support, and carefully raised the settled slab.
The lifting process was controlled to create a positive pitch away from the house as closely as existing site conditions allowed. Raising the concrete also improved the uneven transition responsible for the trip hazard.
After the driveway was lifted and supported, the small injection holes were patched. The large crack was also repaired to help reduce water entry and provide a cleaner finished appearance.
The work area was then cleaned, and the fast-curing polyurethane allowed the repaired driveway to return to normal use with minimal downtime.
